Budget 2018
1. No matter how good the budget is, the Opposition parties will say it is terrible. No matter how bad the budget is, all the BN parties will say it is excellent.

2. Most of the "rakyat" are only concerned about what goodies they get. The mantra is "as long as I get my cookie, the rest of the country can go to hell". Most are not interested in the long-term implications nor the need to be responsible. I WANT MY COOKIE !!!!.

3. The circus surrounding the annual budget has become so predictable. Friday evening, the media will interview the "experts" and "leaders" who will say their piece. Various trade associations and NGOs will express their dissatisfaction because they did not get their cookie. Saturday newspapers will devote 5 or 6 pages to the budget, complete with pie charts and fancy graphics.

4. Saturday morning, all the kedai kopis willl be filled with "experts" dishing out their "advice".

5. Most importantly, there will be a very sharp rise in the number of economic/ financial experts on Facebook after 4 pm on Friday.

6. By next Monday, the circus will have moved on to other issues, maybe the lack of gula melaka in our cendols.

so I  nak tanyala....you got enough gula melaka in your cendol or not?.......
